The location
From Langwies, you’re just a quick 15-minute drive (11 km) to Arosa, where you can access world-class ski slopes, scenic lifts, and winter trails. For hiking, trailheads into the surrounding mountains are less than a 10-minute drive away, and mountain bikers can enjoy direct access to regional routes.
In Langwies, the peaceful environment invites relaxed village walks and sightseeing. Year-round, the area offers outdoor adventures, from the famous Weisshorn cable car in Arosa to the picturesque Langwieser Viaduct, a must-see for history and railway fans.

Hiking in Arosa
Langwies has a village shop, restaurant, hairdresser, and train station. The train fare is included with your pass. The shop is run by Kathi and Sina and has a wide selection of local produce as well as all the essentials you need.
The local restaurant Gasthaus Edelwies is run by Thomas and is well known for its good quality and reasonably priced menu. For the more adventurous there are the wonderful mountain restaurants within hiking distance of the chalet Berghaus – Heimeli and Berggasthaus Strassberg (pick-ups can also be arrange).
Summer/autumn : walking, hiking, mountain biking, e-biking, Bike Kingdom, visiting the Arosa Bear Sanctuary, rope park, lake-swimming/lido, pedalo and boat rental, indoor ice-rink, 18-hole golf course and driving range, local history museum, cultural events and much more.
Winter : skiing, snowboarding, cross-crountry skiing, walking, show-shoeing, skins, tobogganing, skating, local history museum, cultural events and much more.

By train : 2 hours with a train change at Chur. The last leg of the train is well known for being a picturesque “deer safari”.
